Spa Treatments Aphrodite Hills – The New Standard in Luxury
Winning the title “Best Spa in Europe” at the 2008 Professional Beauty Awards (the highest accolade in the spa industry) elevated the Retreat Spa at the Aphrodite Hills Resort in Cyprus to world attention, especially among travellers who also want to have their spa in the places they are staying.
Located on the high-rise plateau where the resort is, the Retreat Spa affords the guests many spectacular views all around, from the outdoor pool and the sauna. Inside the 27 tranquil treatment rooms are some of the world-class spa rituals of cleansing, relaxation, hydrotherapy, massages and more. (Different treatments have assigned rooms of their own.)
Treatments
Guests are treated to the spa’s “thermae” (heat) facilities. Thermae bathing is a detoxifying treatment taken from the Roman times involving rooms with progressively increased temperatures and tempered with cooling showers or ice shavings.
Throughout the spa treatments, Pevonia and Li’tya aboriginal products are used. These are for body treatments, and are also used in massages and aromatherapy.
After this unique Greco-Roman detox sessions, the spa guests are served with a nutritional smoothie, a health tonic or herbal tea. These are served from the Spa restaurant and juice bar while in the Spa’s sun deck or perfumed gardens.
Other therapies
The standard therapeutic treatments are also done, based on the clients’ needs and wants, and those recommended by the spa’s resident experts. These would include the facials and the other massages, body wraps, foot and hair spa, the standard pedicures and manicures.
So far, word had spread about the Retreat Spa’s famous detox sessions and other services. After all, it’s not every day that you win an industry award.
